Dans la pure tradition récente du haut Ourika, voici un tapis noués de laines non teintes très rustiques et de lirette pour les couleurs. Construit sur des chaines de coton, ce tapis affiche un ensemble de 3 personnages traversant, clairement identifiables, noués en laines brunes. Certains motifs au-dessus et en-dessous de ces personnages pourraient être des cardes à laine. La représentation de personnages ou animaux est rare dans les tapis de tribu marocains, sinon chez les Sektana. L'architecture est à champ ouvert et registres successifs. This carpet belongs to the modern tradition of the high Ourika valley rugs: it is woven with rough natural wools (brown and white), and colored rag. Built on cotton wefts, it displays a set of 3 crossing men, clearly identifiable, and most probably combing cards, all woven with dark brown wool. Carpets with representations of living creatures are very unuasual in Morocco but with Sektana people. Finally, we may charaterize this carpet as open field with a series of registers. Dimensions: ca 220 x 160 cm / 7'4" x 5'4".
