Voici une très beau tahalast, tapis traditionnel des Béni Ouaraïn, berbères zénètes occupant le nord-est du Moyen-Atlas au Maroc. Au-delà de son dessin traditionnel à la grille losangique posée sur un fond blanc, la qualité de la laine et l'usage du noeud berbère lui donnent une allure de légèreté qui peut bizarrement susciter chaleur ou fraîcheur. Here is a superb tahalast, traditionnal carpet woven by the Beni Ouarain, a berber tribe living in north-esatern Middle Atlas, in Morocco. The thickness of the pile and the use of the berber knot explain the lightness of the dark brown losangical design. And this incredibly leads to a feeling of either freshness or warmth.
